Pilgrimage Northwest 2025
CAMINO NOROESTE

The dates for this year's pilgrimage are July 24 to July 28. It is the 10th anniversary of Pilgrimage Northwest!

The theme for 2025 will be: We Walk with Fierce HOPE

As we struggle to cope in what seems like hopeless circumstances in our world, our nation, and
perhaps even in our personal lives, we announce a message of FEARLESS HOPE:
We seek to discern how to keep this HOPE alive and credible amidst the overwhelming
abuse of power – financial, political, media, military – power that threatens to deaden our best
instincts for good.
Our FIERCE HOPE allows us to maintain the ability and insight to, in a practical sense,
imagine solutions that enhance our humanity.
We strive to refuse the temptation toward cynicism that may appear “modern” and
“sophisticated”, but, in reality, is truly a lack of imagination and discipline.
We HOPE for what we cannot even imagine, trusting that a loving Presence is unfolding
in ways we cannot predict.
Like the prophets in our spiritual traditions, we announce a Jubilee Year of FEARLESS
HOPE and join our fellow pilgrims on a Pilgrimage of HOPE.

About Us

Inspired by the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Northern Spain, a group of friends have developed a uniquely Northwest version of a spiritual pilgrimage that welcomes people of all faiths to explore a deeper connection with our beautiful landscape. In so doing,  we open ourselves to the inner and outer journey of walking more gently on our planet. Compassion and Justice are the hopeful outcomes of this journey. As we strive to deepen our “sense of place,” we will be inspired by many different spiritual traditions as we allow the land, mountains, and rivers to transform us into more compassionate and responsible beings. We welcome all who are open to this journey to join us as we learn from each other and co-reflect on our personal, social, and spiritual paths in a spirit of respect and acceptance.

While this Pilgrimage path can be taken at any time, our organized Pilgrimage will take place July 24 to 28 2025. While we are not an official organization and have no connection with any one religion, we seek to support others who wish to make this pilgrimage. Our inter-faith pilgrimage for inner transformation and Ecological Justice includes 40 miles of reflection on our inner and outer journeys toward a deeper spirituality and commitment to Creation. Each day of the five day pilgrimage consists of 8-10 miles with evenings of fellowship, meals, reflection, song, and support
