Pilgrimage Northwest 2026
CAMINO NOROESTE

The dates for this year's pilgrimage are August 27 to August 31.

The theme for 2026 will be: Thresholds and Thin Spaces.
As we walk along the beautiful Oregon Coast, we will reflect on the significance and challenge
of the many THRESHOLDS and THIN SPACES that give us meaning, purpose, growth and joy. We
will walk alone and together in this cathedral of Earth, Sea and Sky allowing the Thresholds and
Thin spaces to deepen our awareness of the holy Mystery that surrounds us.

“The edge is a holy place, or as the Celts called it, “a thin place” and you have to be taught how
to live there. To take your position on the spiritual edge of things is to learn how to move safely
in and out, back and forth, across and return.”
― Richard Rohr

About Us

Inspired by the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Northern Spain, a group of friends have developed a uniquely Northwest version of a spiritual pilgrimage that welcomes people of all faiths to explore a deeper connection with our beautiful landscape. In so doing,  we open ourselves to the inner and outer journey of walking more gently on our planet. Compassion and Justice are the hopeful outcomes of this journey. As we strive to deepen our “sense of place,” we will be inspired by many different spiritual traditions as we allow the land, mountains, and rivers to transform us into more compassionate and responsible beings. We welcome all who are open to this journey to join us as we learn from each other and co-reflect on our personal, social, and spiritual paths in a spirit of respect and acceptance.

While this Pilgrimage path can be taken at any time, our organized Pilgrimage will take place August 27 to 31, 2026. While we are not an official organization and have no connection with any one religion, we seek to support others who wish to make this pilgrimage. Our inter-faith pilgrimage for inner transformation and Ecological Justice includes 40 miles of reflection on our inner and outer journeys toward a deeper spirituality and commitment to Creation. Each day of the five day pilgrimage consists of 8-10 miles with evenings of fellowship, meals, reflection, song, and support
